Test Version of vonBiomes 20.1 - help wanted!

New vonBiomes version is ready on Early Access, Nexus and Steam!
20.5 should now (hopefully) fix the first mission load performance issue for good now.
Keeping fingers crossed, and big thanks for your helpful reports!

I went ahead and did a little more trial and error testing with the 20.1 mod:

Von Biomes 20.1 Test 01
Adrenaline drivers 24.8.1 loaded
Settings are 1080p Max in game, default settings in the 20.1 mod:
1. Left mods in place, updated video drivers- Long initial load time on start of game (black screen). Low fps at start of VB mission. (48 fps – 64 fps)
2. Stripped mods to Von Biomes only- Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
3. added Von HUD- Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
4. Added Bobbert’s Mod Options- Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
5. Added YAML- Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
6. Added YAISM- Upon closing game after enabling mod, got a fatal error message from the game. Miminal black screen (4 seconds) on initial start. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
7. Added YACM- 33 second load time (black screen) on initial start. Drop in fps at start of same VB mission. (49 fps – 65 fps)
8. Removed YAISM- 33 second load time (black screen) on initial start. Drop in fps at start of same VB mission. (48 fps - 65 fps)
9. Removed YACM - Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
10. Added Coyote Mod - Quick initial load time on start of game. Good fps at start of same VB mission. (75 fps– 114 fps)
My issues appear to lie with the additional mods for YAML.
 

Hello,
I started testing. First, I removed all my mods except Von Biomes. I restarted the game, chose a slightly older save, loaded a VB Mission, and launched. Mission launched with excellent fps, no need to restart mission as in previous games. Here are the mods I had loaded previously before the test:

Von Biomes is working, I think it is just a random issue with the mods I'm running. Let me know if further info is needed.
 

 

Not perfect results so far.. back to the drawing board.
We test currently with ONLY vonBiomes active, if we look in the right place at all

I am currently working on solving the issue some (but not all) people have with low FPS (frames per second) at some mission starts, and then after clicking mission restart, the issue is gone. On my PC, this is not occuring so it is super hard to test and address for mew without the community's help.
There is now a new test build ready for you to try if you have also had the issue described:
