vonBiomes FAQ

On Nvidia, your can use ANSEL, the built in screenshot/photo function with ALT + F2. There is also https://framedsc.com/GeneralGuides/universal_ue4_consoleunlocker.htm for injecting a free Camera. Or, if you have a game pad, you can use the built-in free camera in MW5 via Ctrl + Shift + C which does not pause the game so it can also be used for recording video.

Get the latest version, vonBiomes 20.5 on nexus or Steam, or vonBiomes 21 on Patreon. The problem has been solved. And if you want to help join up on Discord, get in contact and report details: https://discord.gg/eaTa8zGbRf

Please take a look at this page: Official Mod List and Load Order, there you can find all the information and the list of mods I use for both single player and coop.

vonBiomes undergoes constant optimization and improvements. All biomes have been tested to render to 60 FPS on an older 2070S card in 4K on maximum details. On better cards, you can activate additional quality options like Volumetric Fog, Global Illumination (GI) or High-Quality Shadows in Mod Options ("Mod Options" Mod needs to be active). Check out the vonBiomes Performance Guide for more Information!

Sadly, that is not possible because it would mean interfering with mission generation, which vonBiomes does not to keep up compatibility with other mods. It is recommended to use a Mod like "Better mission choices", which adds more missions to solar systems. By that, you have (much) more choices and can ignore the biomes you do not like.

A core concept of vonBiomes lighting is that planet orbits (aka distance to the sun) matter. If you are dropping on a planet on the edge of the Solar System (Planet orbit 9 or 10), the light is dimmer. There is also the vonBiomes Night vision in place, activate it with the N key! Also check your MW5 brightness setting in options, standard is 4.
Sidenote: With new extensions to the lighting system, it can also be that on rare occasion, something falls to short. Constant fine-tuning and polishing is part of the work of making the mod!
